Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Moderate Special Education Teacher for a contract position supporting young learners in an elementary school setting near Quincy, MA. This role involves working with K-3rd grade students, providing individualized instruction and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. Youll manage a manageable caseload of 10-12 students, collaborating closely with educators and support staff to create a positive impact in every childs academic and social journey.

What Were Looking For:

  • Current MA Special Education License, including Moderate license endorsement
  • Experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged students
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiation techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive classroom for students with diverse needs

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver direct instruction to K-3rd grade students with moderate special needs in both individual and small group settings
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to support student achievement
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and case conferences

Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 to $47.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
