Bring your expertise as a Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students with autism. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work closely with a small groupjust eight studentsproviding compassionate instruction and support tailored to their unique needs. The position follows typical school hours, running from 7:15am to 2:45pm each weekday, and spans from ASAP through June 10, 2027.

Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement for middle school ages
• Background or experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly valued
• Strong communication skills to foster collaboration with parents, staff, and service providers
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability to personalize learning plans and classroom strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with student goals and state requirements
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that accommodate a range of learning needs and abilities
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and document growth
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
• Maintain clear communication with families and colleagues, advocating for the best interests of your students
