Two dedicated Special Education Teachers are needed for emotional support classroomsone at the elementary level (Grades 3-5) and one at the middle school level. You'll work closely with students who benefit from your support, expertise, and compassionate approach, fostering an environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Assignments begin immediately and continue through June 10, 2026. This contract position requires 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The elementary school schedule runs from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, while the middle school operates from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students in emotional support classrooms
• Develop and implement IEPs that address academic and social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to coordinate comprehensive support
• Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment
• Use data-driven practices to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Foster students social, emotional, and academic growth through positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies
• Maintain documentation in compliance with education laws and district policies

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state
• Experience working with students in emotional support or similar settings, preferably at the elementary or middle school level
• Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
• Familiarity with IEP development, behavioral supports, and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
