Job Description

This full-time contract position is perfect for educators passionate about fostering growth and supporting diverse learning needs during the 26/27 school year. Youll work onsite, connecting directly with about 30 students and collaborating with an attentive and supportive team, from August through May 2027.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license for Washington state
  • Current ESA Certification
  • Experience or passion for working with K-12 students who receive resource support
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet varying student needs in a resource classroom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and areas for growth
  • Provide direct instruction and academic support to a caseload of roughly 30 students
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families
  • Assess student progress regularly, adjusting interventions as needed for optimal development
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including IEP documentation and progress notes
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that champions student success
