A contract Special Education Teacher position is available within a school setting in Putnam, CT. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring individualized education plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute tailored lesson plans for students with special needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development and reviews
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
