Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility for certification
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to adapt instructional methods to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with a range of exceptionalities
• Develop and implement goals for students IEPs and participate in IEP meetings
• Assess student progress, collect data, and adjust strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families to address goals and progress
• Support students social, emotional, and behavioral growth
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and local guidelines
