A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in a school setting located in Pueblo, CO. This contract position offers the chance to work directly with students who have diverse learning needs, providing specialized instruction and support to help them achieve academic and personal success.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, therapists, and families, to ensure comprehensive support
• Adapting curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate various learning disabilities and challenges
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth
• Participating in professional development and staff meetings as required

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education
• Experience working with students who have disabilities across a range of ages and ability levels
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
• Patience, creativity, and adaptability in meeting diverse student needs
