This rewarding contract position, based near Powell, OH, offers the chance to make a real impact in a self-contained classroom designed for students with autism and other health impairments. Youll work closely with a dedicated team to implement individualized education plans and support students with behavioral needs, many of whom have behavior intervention plans in place.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid OH Intervention Specialist license required
• Experience teaching in special education, preferably in settings with students on the autism spectrum and/or other health impairments
• Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and the ability to implement individualized support plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to a small group of students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students unique learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, school staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Monitor and document student growth and behavioral interventions
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to individual student profiles

Assignment Details:

• Position type: Contract, 35 hours per week
• Immediate start, continuing through May 2027
• Work closely with a consistent caseload in a supportive school community
