Qualifications:

  • Valid Rhode Island Special Education Teacher certification (required)
  • Previous experience working with elementary-grade students, especially third grade, is a plus
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for individualized instruction and student advocacy

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a long-term substitute Special Education Teacher for a third-grade class
  • Plan and implement personalized lessons and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30am3:30pm; one school assignment
