Job Description

In this dynamic contract opportunity, experienced Special Education Teachers are sought to support students for the 26/27 school year. With positions available in both resource room/grade level support and a specialized self-contained program focused on mental health and behavioral needs, there is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.

The role spans from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with approximately 32.535 hours per week. The school day runs from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM, allowing for a structured but balanced work schedule. Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire Teaching License required
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedicated to fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with exceptionalities in resource or self-contained settings
  • Collaborate with grade-level and support staff to align accommodations and modifications across academic and behavioral domains
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans
  • Use data-driven strategies to assess and support student progress
  • Serve as an advocate for students needs, ensuring equitable access to education
