Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience with one or more of the following: Early Childhood, Pre-K, Kindergarten, Elementary (Grades 15), Middle School (Grades 68), and High School (Grades 912)
- Strong knowledge of best practices in inclusive and resource classroom environments
- Familiarity with IEP creation, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to plan and differentiate instruction in core subjects, including Math, for students across grade levels
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to nurturing student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction and support tailored to individual student needs across a range of grade levels
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages academic and social-emotional growth
- Use data-driven practices to assess and monitor student progress
- Offer differentiated instruction in Math and other core subjects, adapting content as necessary
