Qualifications & Experience:

  • Special Education certification or eligibility required
  • Experience teaching special education students in any of the following: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-5 (elementary), Grades 6-8 (middle school), and Grades 9-12 (high school)
  • Familiarity with academic accommodations, differentiated instruction, and IEP implementation for students with diverse needs
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Enthusiasm for fostering inclusion and promoting student growth

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with disabilities across assigned grade levels, including math support
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Utilize a variety of strategies and materials to accommodate distinct learning needs and styles
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of student assessments and progress
  • Provide a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage with parents, caregivers, and staff to support each students success
