Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification for Special Education (or eligibility in Michigan)
- Experience working with K-8 students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student behaviors and needs
Responsibilities:
- Support K-8 students in a resource classroom setting
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support personnel
- Employ both established and innovative interventions to foster student growth
- Conduct instruction and assessments in-person; some virtual engagement possible
- Participate in ongoing professional development
