Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Experience working in K-8 settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to tailor instruction for students with varying needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfortable addressing a range of behaviors compassionately and effectively
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to a resource room environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate closely with parents, administrators, and therapists
- Utilize multiple instructional strategies to support diverse learners
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom culture
- Adapt to behavioral changes and respond with evidence-based interventions
- Use data to monitor student progress and adjust teaching as needed
