Seeking a skilled professional to work onsite as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in self-contained classrooms. This contract role is full-time, providing the chance to make a meaningful difference with students who have varied learning needs, including learning disabilities (LD), severe autism (AU), and high-need requirements. Serving a diverse group, youll use your expertise to help students succeed in an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) License
• Hands-on experience teaching students with learning disabilities, severe autism, and high-need educational profiles
• Comfortable leading self-contained and mixed-ability classrooms
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning, safety, and growth
• Employ specialized instructional strategies to address various academic and social-emotional goals
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching techniques as appropriate
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and the school community
• Participate in meetings, team planning, and continued professional development
