Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience working with students in Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
- Familiarity with Math curriculum and differentiated instructional strategies
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and support teams
- Ability to adapt quickly to new classroom settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging individualized and small-group instruction across a spectrum of grade levels, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Assess student strengths and areas of need; provide targeted interventions, especially in Math
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure student growth
- Maintain accurate records for student attendance, progress, and compliance documentation
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and resilience
- Support students with diverse learning needs, adapting materials as appropriate
