Special Education Teacher - Plymouth, MA (Contract)
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher in a school setting located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This contract position is ideal for an experienced educator skilled in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with special education requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to create inclusive and effective learning environments
- Monitor and assess student progress, documenting growth and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Provide direct instruction and support in academic, social, and behavioral areas
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with students who have a range of disabilities, including learning, developmental, and behavioral challenges
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and individualized instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
