Job Summary
Location: Plainfield, NJ (On-site)
Term: Full 2026-2027 School Year
Hours: Full-Time (Monday Friday)
Caseload: Diverse learning needs; specific grade levels discussed during interview
Key Responsibilities
IEP Development: Lead the design and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
Specialized Instruction: Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction in an inclusive classroom setting.
Collaboration: Work alongside the Child Study Team (CST), therapists, and parents to track student progress.
Classroom Management: Utilize positive behavior interventions and maintain a structured learning atmosphere.
Qualifications & Requirements
State Certification: Must hold a valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJ DOE) teaching certificate.
Endorsements: Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C) required.
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
Experience: Previous school-based experience preferred; new graduates with NJ certification are encouraged to apply.
