Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools, issued by ISBE
  • Prior experience or comfort working with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
  • Strong skills in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support for a K-3 caseload, implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to address varied developmental and learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive student care
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to encourage growth in social, behavioral, and academic areas
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
