Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state of MA or able to obtain)
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field required; Masters preferred

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students on caseload
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
  • Deliver direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications tailored to each students needs
  • Maintain detailed and accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation
  • Manage classroom activities to create an inclusive, supportive environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
