Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education for the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
• Proven experience working as a Special Education teacher, preferably in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, instruction and differentiated strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons for varying ability levels and learning styles
• Passion for supporting students with a range of disabilities and fostering their growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students specific learning goals
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods and educational materials to engage and support all learners
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies to ensure continued development
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents, and support staff
• Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation and reports
• Foster a welcoming, safe, and supportive classroom atmosphere
