What Youll Need:
- Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learning needs
- Collaborative mindset for working closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction within small group and/or inclusive settings
- Modify curriculum and instructional materials to differentiate for students unique learning profiles
- Employ a variety of assessment tools to monitor and report student growth
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with district and state requirements
