Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience teaching elementary students, specifically in special education or resource settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and fellow educators
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet individualized student needs
• Knowledge of current best practices in special education

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, differentiated instruction to 4th and 5th grade students within a resource classroom setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student in your caseload
• Work closely with general education teachers to ensure student integration and inclusion
• Conduct progress monitoring, assessments, and reporting as required
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development and goals
• Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
