Job Description

Embark on a dynamic contract opportunity impacting students lives as a Special Education Teacher in the vibrant Phoenix/Glendale, AZ area. This is a full-time position spanning the academic year from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027 (dates subject to change), offering diverse roles to match your passion and expertise in special education.

Caseloads include:

  • Self-contained Cross Category Academic Program for 8th grade Science.
  • Self-contained Behavior Teacher supporting positive student outcomes.
  • Two self-contained Teacher Academic positions, primarily serving MID students.
  • Preschool Teacher focusing on Autism Preschool settings.
  • .5 Resource educator working with 3rd and 4th graders, mornings only (MonFri, 8 AM12 PM).
  • .5 Resource supporting 7th and 8th graders.

Ideal qualifications:

  • Active SPED Educator Certification.
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Experience delivering individualized instruction and support in self-contained or resource settings.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
  • Adaptability in responding to individualized education plans and diverse student needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing specialized lesson plans aligned with IEP objectives.
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Coordinating with general education teachers, therapists, counselors, and parents.
  • Creating a safe, engaging learning environment for students with a variety of needs.
  • Supporting emotional, behavioral, and academic development of each student.
