Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing specialized instruction and support in a variety of settings for the upcoming academic year. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers with expertise in areas such as Emotional Disabilities, Cross-Category Academic Programs, ELA, Resource support, and Autism Preschool. Assignments are located at various grade levels from Preschool to Junior High.
Open positions include self-contained and resource teacher roles at several elementary and junior high campuses in the greater Phoenix and Glendale area. Candidates will collaborate with school teams, serve unique student needs, and contribute to academic and behavioral progress in both general and special education environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher Certification
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience with self-contained and/or resource classrooms preferred
- Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Recent, updated resume reflecting relevant experience
- Interest in specific classroom assignments/grade levels is welcome
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals
- Manage behavior interventions and positive supports specific to assigned caseload
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, specialists, and parents to ensure student progress
- Accurately document student data and participate in IEP meetings
- Create inclusive, engaging classroom environments fostering student growth and independence
