Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (AZ or eligibility for reciprocity)
- Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in Special Education or related field
- Experience in both resource and self-contained classroom settings preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs
- Knowledge of current instructional strategies and behavioral management techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, families, and support providers
- Organizational skills to manage caseload documentation and reporting responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, apply, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Create inclusive lesson plans tailored to diverse learners
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and parents
- Foster a supportive classroom environment prioritizing student success and well-being
- Track and communicate student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with all special education laws, regulations, and ethical standards
