Special Education Teacher Elementary Autism Support

• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19124
• Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Duration: ASAP through the end of the school year

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support an elementary-level Autistic Support classroom serving students in grades 12. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a structured school environment with supportive, experienced staff and a collaborative special education team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction tailored to students' learning needs.
- Support students with autism in developing academic, communication, behavioral, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with two classroom paraprofessionals to maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
- Adapt instructional strategies and classroom activities to meet diverse student needs.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to support student progress and individualized education program (IEP) goals.

Classroom Details
- Elementary Autistic Support classroom serving grades 12.
- Approximately 8 students with autism.
- Two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.
- Supportive administration and experienced special education staff.
- Safe, clean campus with off-street parking.

Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education teaching license preferred.
- Emergency certification may be considered for candidates with relevant experience in an autism support classroom.
- Experience working with elementary students with autism preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
