Make an impact as a full-time Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students in a dynamic, urban school environment. Two contract opportunities are available for passionate educators who are ready to inspire and support students in grades K-2. This role runs onsite weekdays (8:30 AM 4:00 PM), with positions starting as soon as possible and extending through June 10, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Current active teacher certification/licensure required for the caseload.
• Mastery of related subject matter and proven instructional skills.
• Bachelors degree (minimum for emergency permit eligibility).
• Prior experience working in schools, with background in urban settings strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans aligned with state and district standards.
• Proven behavioral and classroom management skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Full PA clearances required prior to start.
• Comfort and adaptability with urban schools and district practices.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans based on current standards using formative assessment to guide instruction.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom where all students can succeed.
• Manage diverse classrooms with strong behavioral strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with documentation requirements.
