Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive learning environment near Philadelphia, PA! We are seeking dedicated educators to fill four full-time contract openings for the upcoming academic year, each offering opportunities to work with students in elementary, middle, or high school settings. Your expertise will help guide students growth while collaborating closely with colleagues in an onsite capacity.
There are immediate opportunities to contribute at various grade levels:
- 1 Elementary School position (8:30AM4:00PM)
- 1 Middle School position (either 8:30AM4:00PM or 8:00AM3:15PM, final schedule TBD)
- 2 High School positions (7:15AM2:45PM) All positions are 35 hours per week, with the contract running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and valid certification or licensure for the appropriate level/caseload
- Bachelors degree required; necessary for an emergency teaching permit
- Demonstrated experience in schools, preferably in urban settings
- Mastery of subject matter, effective instructional delivery, and resourceful lesson planning
- Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
- Ability to complete all PA clearances prior to start
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Must work onsite during assigned hours; no schedule accommodations available
- Comfortable adopting district policies and adapting to diverse educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop dynamic, standards-aligned lesson plans using differentiation and formative assessments
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with staff and families for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with special education requirements
