Job Description

A full-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students onsite in a vibrant educational setting near Philadelphia, PA. This position is set within a dynamic urban school environment, working 35 hours weekly with a schedule of either 8:30 AM4 PM or 8 AM3:15 PM (to be finalized). The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and concludes June 10, 2027.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

  • Holds active and appropriate certification/licensure for special education caseloads
  • Bachelors degree required (or in process with ability to obtain emergency teaching permit)
  • Must have prior experience in a school setting, specifically in special education
  • Strong classroom and behavioral management skills essential
  • Experienced in adapting instruction and resources to meet diverse needs
  • Proven comfort working in an urban school environment and adaptability within district/location guidelines
  • Must possess reliable transportation
  • Availability during scheduled hours; work schedule accommodations are not offered
  • Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
