Step into a dynamic educational environment and make a positive impact as a Special Education Teacher during the 2026-2027 school year. Multiple contract openings are available for passionate educators eager to serve middle and high school students. Full-time positions run onsite from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.
Four positions are available:
- One middle school role (hours: 8:30AM-4PM or 8AM-3:15PM, schedule to be determined).
- Three high school positions (hours: 7:15AM-2:45PM) with concentrations in Science, Math, and Social Studies.
Key Qualifications:
- Active certification or appropriate licensure for special education as required for your assigned caseload
- Bachelors degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
- Proven school-based experience, particularly in urban or diverse educational environments
- Mastery of science, math, or social studies (subject-specific positions), strong instructional skills, and experience differentiating instruction
- Reliable transportation to ensure daily punctuality and attendance
- PA clearances completed or ability to obtain
- Confidence in managing classrooms and student behavior effectively
- Flexibility to work required hours; no work schedule adjustments possible
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans tailored to diverse learners using formative assessment and differentiation
- Maintain active, inclusive classrooms with effective behavioral and instructional management
- Collaborate with education teams and support staff to deliver high-quality special education services
- Utilize instructional resources thoughtfully to foster student progress and empowerment
