In this role, you will:
- Deliver tailored instruction and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students receiving special education services
- Collaborate closely with staff, parents, and specialists to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation, manage IEP compliance, and contribute to student assessments and progress meetings
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and development
- Attend professional development sessions and participate in school meetings as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in teaching from an accredited college or university
- Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification (K-8 or N12) required
- Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to new environments and build relationships within a school community
