This onsite role offers approximately 22.5 hours per week, focusing on K-5th grade students as a Learning Behavior Specialist. Youll play a vital role in helping children with diverse abilities achieve their educational goals, developing individualized strategies for academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in teaching from an accredited college or university
- Valid Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification (K-8 or N12) is required
- Experience or interest in working with elementary students (K-5th grade)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging lesson plans tailored to individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct instructional support in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and specialists to foster student growth
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress and communicate updates to families and school teams
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students in your caseload
