This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to help students thrive throughout the academic year. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, you'll build positive connections and guide students toward their goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Texas EC Teacher Certification
- Previous experience teaching special education or working with students with diverse learning needs
- Deep understanding of IEP processes and compliance standards
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and service providers
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address each students needs
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying disabilities and abilities
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
- Partner with general education teachers to support inclusion strategies
- Communicate regularly with families to share progress and provide resources
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
