Job Description

Collaborate with a passionate faculty team and support students individualized learning and behavioral needs.

Multiple opportunities are available:

  • Teach in a self-contained cross-category academic program with 8th-grade Science.
  • Support social, emotional, and academic growth as a self-contained behavior teacher.
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate intellectual disabilities (MID) as a self-contained teacher (Phoenix, AZ).
  • Foster early development as a preschool teacher for an autism-focused classroom (Phoenix, AZ).
  • Assist learners as a resource teacher, including roles focusing on 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th graders (with part-time morning schedules available).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid Special Education Educator Certification (SPED Educator Cert).
  • Active IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP FP Card).
  • Previous experience in special education settings strongly preferred.
  • Deep commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom that celebrates each childs abilities.
  • Strong collaborative skills for teaming with parents, colleagues, and school staff.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated academic or behavioral instruction.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and ongoing professional learning.
  • Build positive classroom environments promoting growth and achievement.
