Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching license (or eligibility for Arizona certification)
• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Prior experience with resource and/or self-contained classroom settings
• Strong ability to assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, colleagues, and support staff
• Dedication to promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet a variety of learning styles and needs
• Create and implement IEPs, monitoring student progress and making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education teachers
• Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates, support, and resources
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required
