Sunbelt Staffing is partnering with school districts in the Pawtucket, Rhode Island area to hire compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers for the school year. You'll join a collaborative team of educators and specialists committed to helping every student reach their full potential through individualized instruction and supportive learning environments.
What You'll Do
As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide specialized instruction and develop educational plans that support students academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working closely with families and school staff, you'll help ensure students receive the resources and accommodations they need to succeed.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
Special Education Teacher licenses / certifications
Classroom experience- Elementary
Ability to provide specialized instruction
Primary Responsibilities
Provide resource support in Reading, Math, and other core areas. Support various classroom models
Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP
Monitor academic and behavioral progress while adjusting instructional strategies as needed
Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
Support students in developing independence, confidence, and life skills
Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
Position Highlights
Full time- 35 - 37.5 hours
Nights, weekends, and holidays off
