Job Description

Your assignment may involve either a Resource/Inclusion position, supporting students with mild-to-moderate disabilities as they participate in the general curriculum, or a Self-Contained classroom, providing dedicated instruction and care. The specific role will align with current district needs, promising impactful work every day.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Special Education teaching license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) for the appropriate grade level (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary)
  • Compliance with the Right to Read Act, with certification in or ability to complete Rhode Island Structured Literacy proficiency within one year of hire
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education principles and differentiated instruction
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Passion for helping students achieve their full potential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and assessments
