Job Description

A long-term Special Education Teacher position is available in Portsmouth, RI, covering a third-grade classroom from mid-September through December. This full-time contract role supports a maternity leave assignment within an elementary school setting. The school day runs Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing consistent hours for a dedicated educational professional.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Rhode Island Special Education Teacher Certification required
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably third grade
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs in a special education setting
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
