Seeking a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Parachute, CO, to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive school environment with paraprofessionals assisting in each classroom, fostering a collaborative and effective educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
- Collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals to ensure comprehensive support for up to 25 students.
- Assess and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student development.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License.
- Experience working with students across various age groups; specific age range determined by experience.
- Strong knowledge of special education strategies and regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in Parachute, Colorado (travel assignment).
- 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.
