Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience or genuine interest in working with students at multiple grade levels: Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st12th Grade
- Background in math instruction is a plus
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively
- Strong communication skills, both with students and staff
- Adaptability to tailor instruction for diverse learning needs
- Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that address students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support learners in developing academic, social, and life skills
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
- Create a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
