Job Description

In this role, youll collaborate with educators and families to provide high-quality educational experiences and individualized support for students with diverse learning needs. The position is ideally suited for those certified as an Ohio Intervention Specialist who have a passion for helping high school students achieve success.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license required
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the high school level preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with staff, families, and administration
  • Comfortable using technology for record-keeping and remote collaboration if needed
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Provide direct instruction, targeted interventions, and support in both individual and group settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to support student success

  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development sessions
  • Adapt materials and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning needs
