Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist licensure required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP writing, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, families, and related service providers
- Proficient in adapting curriculum and employing differentiated instruction techniques for high school students
- Strong organizational, communication, and advocacy skills
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive classroom culture
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of high school students with varying abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Deliver direct instruction and support, both in small groups and individually
- Collaborate with teaching staff, counselors, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school activities
