Job Description

Inspire growth and make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher serving students across grade levels in a supportive, collaborative school environment. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are now available for the upcoming school year, working onsite with committed educators and diverse students.

You will play a key role in supporting learners in one of several vibrant settings:

  • Functional Life Skills with high school students (caseload 16-18)
  • High school Special Education with an emphasis on Math instruction (caseload 22)
  • Early childhood inclusion within a pre-kindergarten program using an itinerant model (caseloads vary)

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility for AZ credential)
  • Experience in functional life skills, high school SPED (preferably with Math), or early childhood inclusion strongly preferred
  • Ability to adapt instruction, create engaging lesson plans, and manage diverse caseloads
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and team members
  • Dedication to inclusive education and a growth mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven decision making
