Job Description

Make a positive impact in the lives of young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the 20262027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027, and is ideal for professionals ready to foster growth in a supportive, structured environment.

Work daily from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, guiding a caseload of 13 pre-K students with mild to moderate needs. This engaging role combines meaningful daily interactions and specialized instruction tailored to the abilities and unique personalities of each child.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
  • Previous experience working in early childhood or pre-K special education settings preferred
  • Ability to manage and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
  • Must be able to complete required fingerprinting for pre-K classroom placement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable collaborating with families and staff

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Creating a welcoming, safe, and stimulating classroom atmosphere
  • Employing evidence-based instructional methods and behavioral support strategies
  • Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate, timely records
  • Coordinating with other educators, therapists, and support personnel as needed
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians to celebrate milestones and address concerns
