A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Oxford, ME. This role focuses on supporting the resource room with a current caseload of 12 students, working alongside two support staff. The position is onsite, offering 37.5 hours per week in a contract-based arrangement.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing specialized instruction and support to students with special needs within the resource room setting.
• Collaborating with support staff and other educators to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual goals.
• Maintaining clear and accurate records of student achievements and concerns.
• Communicating effectively with parents, staff, and administration to support student development.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Maine.
• Experience working with elementary-age students in a resource room or special education setting.
• Strong skills in individualized instruction and behavior management.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
