A Special Education Teacher position is available in Owenton, KY, to serve multiple locations within the Grant County district. This onsite role is ideal for certified educators holding a valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate who are passionate about supporting students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success.
Position Details:
- Location: Owenton, Kentucky (serving multiple district sites)
- Employment Type: Contract
- Start Date: August 17th, 2026
- End Date: May 26th, 2027
- Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week
- Setting: Onsite special education classrooms
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities to promote academic and social growth
- Collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate with special education certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a K-12 setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility and dedication to onsite teaching requirements
