Job Description
Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity spans multiple school locations within a supportive district and runs from August 17th, 2026, through May 26th, 2027. You'll provide in-person instruction and collaborate with dedicated professionals to help every learner succeed.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid KY Teaching Certification required
- Expertise in Special Education preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Adaptable, nurturing, and collaborative disposition
- Ability to commute to multiple locations within the district
- Candidate ZIP code required for placement purposes
- Must be available for onsite assignments throughout the contracted period
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver engaging lessons that accommodate various learning styles
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on growth and challenges
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student achievement
- Support student behavioral and emotional regulation in accordance with district policies
- Attend professional development sessions and participate in school meetings as needed
