Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Prior experience working with students with disabilities in K-12 environments
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, staff, and support personnel
• Adaptability to tailor instruction based on student needs

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver individualized lesson plans according to each students IEP
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
• Implement effective behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and ancillary service providers
• Foster a supportive, achievement-oriented learning atmosphere
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for student development
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
