Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Prior experience in a school setting, preferably with students requiring individualized support
  • Knowledge of IEPs and compliance procedures
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a variety of learning styles
  • Passion for advocating for students academic and emotional wellbeing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with IEP goals
  • Assess student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of student achievement
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
