A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in the Kansas City, KS area, focusing on early childhood education for children ages Pre-K. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week and is set to begin as soon as possible, extending through May 22, 2026.
The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to a caseload of 8 to 18 students within the early childhood special education program. The priority location for this position is an Early Childhood Center serving Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Responsibilities include developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing tailored instructional strategies, and collaborating with families and support staff to foster student growth and success.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with early childhood students, specifically ages Pre-K
- Ability to manage caseloads between 8 and 18 students
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams
