Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification/license
• Previous experience working in special education classrooms or similar settings
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and creativity in meeting diverse student needs
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver instructional materials tailored to each students IEP goals and learning abilities
• Foster student growth by employing a variety of teaching strategies and interventions
• Assess needs, monitor progress, and update goals in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with local and federal guidelines
• Provide guidance and support to classroom assistants or paraprofessionals
• Cultivate a welcoming, supportive classroom where all students feel valued and included
