Positions span K-12 settings, with various roles supporting resource, life skills, SLC, autism, and medically fragile classrooms. Each assignment is thoughtfully designed to provide individualized support for students, helping them reach their fullest potential.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Valid Kansas special education teaching license (required at time of assignment)
- Experience or strong interest working with K-12 student populations
- Knowledge of best practices in resource, self-contained, life skills, autism, and medically fragile programs
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support personnel
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to support diverse caseloads, ranging from 8 to 18 students
In This Role, You Will:
- Design and adapt curriculum to address individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and student growth
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate progress records
- Engage with families and school teams to craft and implement personalized educational strategies
- Provide differentiation and accommodations based on student needs
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment in daily classroom activities
