Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Minnesota Teaching License required
- Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota license necessary for contracted Special Education Teachers
- Experience in special education and/or behavior intervention within school settings preferred
- Strong communication and consultative skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
- Ability to provide documentation, including current resume and Minnesota teaching license, upon application
Core Responsibilities:
- Support high school special education classes in the morning, delivering individualized and group instruction
- In the afternoons, act as a Behavior Intervention Specialist by consulting with elementary teachers, developing and coaching on evidence-based behavior plans
- Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to meet diverse student needs
- Facilitate positive behavioral changes and implement best practices in classroom management
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress reporting
