This contract-based position is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher eager to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a program serving 2nd to 5th graders, with the possibility of a wider K-5 student range as needs evolve.
Enjoy a manageable caseload of ten students, each supported by a robust team that includes seven educational assistantsproviding an exceptional staff-to-student ratio and the collaboration you need to help every learner thrive.
Key Qualifications
- Valid Special Education (SPED) certification
- Experience working with elementary school students, particularly grades 2-5
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and effective learning environment
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Principal Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt and deliver curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate closely with educational assistants, classroom teachers, and families
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with all regulations and school policies
- Support the integration of new students into the program as they join
